A
router with Network Address Translation (NAT) allows a local
network to use private IP addresses communicate out to the
Internet. In other words, connections may be established
outbound to the Internet, but connections arriving from the
Internet are not allowed. By using port mapping however,
services like an IP camera and NVR server running on your
private network may become accessible from the Internet.
So, Port Mapping is a feature that allows devices behind
router to be accessed on Internet.

Port Mapping Configuration:
(1) IP Camera
Assign a specific Port number. Based on this port number
user may specify that certain packets will be routed to a
specific camera behind the firewall.
1. Run Setup ->Network->Listen Port
2. Key-in a proper port number:
(2)Router
User must specify the local IP address that is listening (by
the Port number) for connections from the Internet.
These are the applications you want to pass through the
router. Select ALL for both TCP and UDP protocols
